How to? Get unstuck

We've all been there: feeling stuck in our personal or professional lives, powerless. Being lost and/or not being able to find your way, despite trying to change things around you. That rings a bell right? This is how I work on getting back to making progress.


  • Identify the reason you’re feeling overwhelmed. Can’t you control the direction your life is taking? Make a list of maximum three situations you CAN change and work on/for yourself. Once your list is ready, make space every day and dedicate time to it. It could be only fifteen minutes, and it will make the difference of your day, taking action towards your personal goals.

  • Set achievable goals. If you go too big, it will be hard to obtain results quicker and you will soon feel demotivated. Getting to your goals can take some time, so break it into smaller and attainable objectives. Celebrate every time you reach these little milestones and continue to the next one.


  • Selfcare is vital! I can't stop repeating this one to myself, and you don’t need to spend millions. Go for a walk, listen a podcast, stretch your body, draw or paint. It doesn’t need to be a spa treatment, massages or any other form of paid pampering. Take care of yourself, it doesn’t need to be complicated.


  • Move your body. This one can be super challenging, believe me, I used to be a couch potato. If you commit with yourself, believe in YOU, you will be able to do it! It doesn’t have to be sessions of 2 hours daily. You can start by walking twenty minutes, the endorphins will do the rest. Remember – it takes 3 weeks to build a habit.


  • Reach out for help – call a friend! You will be surprised how sometimes others can support. When I need an advice or exchange ideas, 3 friends are my go-to persons within my inner circle. Surround yourself with people who can fuel your growth and the other way around.


Feeling stuck is only a transition. If you work on it, implement some changes, soon enough it will be all behind and you will be striving at your goals. Life is all about ups and downs, so get back on track, be patient, don’t lose sight of that end line and take care of yourself.
