When small positive changes lead to BIG results :)

The idea of changing your habits little by little should be the starting point of your journey. You’re probably considering it, and if that's not the case, deep down you might be questioning the way you’re organizing your day.

What I’ve implemented in my life over the past years:

  • Cutting out sugar in my coffee (I’m a heavy coffee drinker).

  • Starting fitness and healthy eating. Implementing a routine for my to-dos at home (weekly cooking menus, grocery shopping on Saturdays, organizing my closet).

  • Getting enough sleep and limiting nights out.

  • Setting personal goals.

How did I start?

The biggest wake-up call was when my body started feeling uncomfortable and lazy—too much unhealthy food, sodas, and cocktails. One day, I had to prepare a large shipment of boxes, which I managed to do, but then my body was hurting for four days. I felt really out of shape. I know years are passing, but I still consider myself too young to feel this way.

At first, I tried to implement all sorts of changes, but unfortunately—like many people—after three days, I was losing motivation. And this went on for years.

I read somewhere that it takes 21 days to build a habit. So, I gathered all my courage and started a 30-day challenge. I also documented it on my Instagram as a commitment to myself. This time, I needed to succeed. I managed to finish and even continue afterward. Today, I’m not as active in fitness, but I can say it helped a lot with my mental and physical well-being (and still do!).

What does this mean for you?

Changing habits takes time. Start with one objective. Once you’ve achieved it, move on to the next one at your own pace. Don’t rush, it will tire you out. It’s better to act with consistency than to put in all your efforts in one day and then stop.

If you can, do it with a friend so you can motivate each other. Involve your family so they can support you. Do it for yourself. Don’t expect results at the beginning—they won’t show immediately. But eventually, they will. Be patient.

It took me years to get to where I am. But I’m proud I took the leap and I learned so much about myself along the way. Trying to do things differently brings new situations you might not have thought of. And the greatest gift of all, it brings peace, because you’re taking action, and whatever action you take is already a big step toward change.

on a journey to wellbeing

Starting is the hardest part, but it’s also the most important. You don’t need a perfect plan or the right moment. You've got this, so take that first step today, no matter how small.
